Does anyone have a copy of Windows XP on CD that I could use to install it? One that wouldn’t expire after a certain time. Yes, I know, it’s naughty, but I’ll need to reinstall it when I change my hard drives around and getting it for free is an attractive option.
Or if you think I should buy my own copy, where is it cheapest and how much?
Even if such a thing could be arranged, I doubt anyone would post about it in a wordpress blog comment.
TasPC seem to advertise XP at the same price under both OEM and non-OEM categories:
Home: http://www.tasmanianpc.com.au/catalogue/details.jsp?productID=42685 ($145)
Pro: http://www.tasmanianpc.com.au/catalogue/details.jsp?productID=42686 ($235)
But knowing how well they maintain their online catalogue, you should probably call them. Of course, if you buy something like three computer components with it, you can get the OEM one.
